To choose the correct brightness of a LED display screen, we need to consider many factors.
First and the most important is the application environment of the screens. There is different brightness for indoor and outdoor LED displays.
Normally, 400 to 1500nits are the most common brightness for indoor applications. If the LED screen is located in a bright environment, such as a very bright stage or indoor place but facing direct sunlight, 1500 to 4500nits are the ideal choice.
For outdoor applications, 4000 to 6500nits are standard brightness for a LED screen, 7500nits/+ is ideal for outdoor displays to face direct sunlight. Nowadays, there are high brightness solutions that can reach 10000nits~20000nits brightness for extreme cases.
Second, the reason we need to choose the correct brightness of the LED screen is for the viewer. If a screen that is too bright will cause viewer discomfort when watching the display contents. But if a screen with too low brightness, people cannot see clearly your display contents.
